I’ve been staying on about 15-18g of total carbs per day.
Today, I went to donate blood. They strongly suggest that you have something to eat or drink afterward before you try to leave the facility. This is the first time I’ve donated blood since doing Atkins, and even though I had a lot to drink and ate a good meal before going in, I did feel just a little light headed when I first got up.
I drank a whole bottle of water, and looked through the snacks. Most are things like Little Debbie cakes and Lance crackers. But I found a package of roasted peanuts with only 6g carbs (2 of fiber). I chose to eat that before leaving.
I know it’s not Induction-approved, and it put my total carb count for the day up to about 24 g. What do you think? If I just get back on to the lower threshold tomorrow, everything should be OK, right?
