Hi I just started this atkins diet and trying to stay below 20 carbs a day. Just some basic questions?? Whats a good shopping list and how many carbs. How much do you lose you think within the first 2 months? Anything anyone would like to help me with I would enjoy any feedback you would like to give me thanks so much!!
May I ask what you eat for morning lunch and dinner not what you can eat all together just like what did you have today only?? If you don’t mind helping me out.
Hi, I am new to Atkins…got the Atkins for Life book and have ordered the Atkins New Diet Revolution. Until my other book comes in…I have to ask about the heavy cream. It is really good mixed with diet sugar free cocoa…a little too good LOL. I noticed even though it has no carbs it is awfully high in calories. I had about a half cup today and yesterday and it really satisfied my sweet cravings. Can all of the calories hurt my weight loss though? Just checking before I end up drinking the whole carton this week LOL.
Thanks!
Erin
Hi everyone!! This is a big year for me, and I want to be thin and healthy! I had great success with Atkins in the past, and I can not tell you why I stopped!!
My biggest problem with my re-start is my TOM. I have 3 weeks of it, and 1 week of freedom. I have been to the doctor, just to make sure all is O.K., at 46, I am in the pre-menopause stage. I love the diet, it is so easy for me (down 7lbs.), but the non-stop TOM makes me (and my husband, poor guy) wonder if I can hold out. I had a brief problem with it when I started back in ‘04, and this week I did low-fat to see if it would stop, and sure enough, after 5 days, gone!! Any advise?? Should I just "grin and bear it"?

It is what it is….make it work!!
Hi, I’m back to Atkins after a few years of on again/off again low carb WOE. It was really hard for me while I worked at the dairy (QA lab) tasting chocolate milk all the time. Now that I have a desk job, I am giving it another go.
I’m a little nervous. The last time I started induction, I lost 14 pounds in 5 days and was having horrible hypoglycemia episodes. I was on metformin at the time and the drug info says that it doesn’t cause hypoglycemia. My blood sugar returned to normal after 3 days (except for the pre-dawn spike). I never actually tested bs during the hypo episodes, so I don’t know how low it actually got. I finally gave up because I felt so bad.
I’ve been off the metformin for a while now, so I think it will be OK. Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Any advice?
