Cycling QWL diet

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

Hi,

I have about 90 pounds to lose and I’m going to begin the QWL diet tomorrow (2/28). Many of you seem to have success cycling the diet with an Atkins type diet. I was thinking about cycling 10 days of the QWL with 2 days of regular low-cal eating (veggies, fruits, yogurt, and maybe a Lean Cuisine). Has anyone here tried that? I want the fastness of the QWL diet, and if I had 2 day break to look forward to I would fell much less anxious while on the diet. Since I have so much to lose, I think I’ll go crazy I don’t break it up! I just don’t want to undo all the weight loss of the 10 days in 2.

So…. if anyone’s tried this I would love to hear about it. Also, if anyone has any advice that would be awesome too.

Thanks!

Starting QWL today….wish me luck :)

I’m starting Stillman’s today…I have about 15 pounds to lose and they are being stubborn. So I’m hoping that this will get me off this stall that doesn’t seem to want to go away. I just hope I can achieve my goals by summer.

Hmmm…

Hi guys,

I have 5ft 9 inches and weight about 9 3/4 stones. I’d really like to get down to 9 for the summer and wondered whether Stillman’s would be able to help?!

Can it work if you don’t have ‘that’ much to loose? I have a tiny frame btw! I was thinking of hardboiled eggs for breakfast and chicken breast for lunch. Am not sure about dinner though – do you ever get used to eating this much protein and no veggies?!

Thanks so much!

Guess I will get the March thread going.
So the 3 pound loss stuck plus an additional pound so I am down 4 pounds this week for a total of 28 pounds since 1/5/09.
How is everyone else doing?

Stillman and Atkins

Wednesday, February 18th, 2009

Hi Everyone. I hope you all are doing well. The question I have is this, has anyone successfully combined Atkins and Stillman. The reason that I ask is that I know that I can stick with Stillman for the short term, but I don’t think I can stay with the program on a long term basis. Atkins seems to be doable for life. I don’t want to put myself in the position of setting up for failure.

Stillmans VS. Atkins

Wednesday, February 18th, 2009

Can someone explain to me how both of these diet Gurus can be right? Atkins says the best way to lose weight doing low carb is by eating plenty of fat, however Stillmans claims to get fast results by restricting fat intake!

Can anyone shed some light on this as I am really confused!!!!!!
