Hey!!!

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

HI, I’m new! How exciting, another newbie! good news, I’ve done this before so I won’t be asking any questions that have been asked a bazillion times before.

I’m a woman who got swallowed up by some old fat lady. Just where did that cute little girl go? I know she’d under here somewhere. Sometimes I hear her and I just go hide myself in a box of donuts. LOL

Well, lets just say the wrapper is coming off. The donuts are all gone. The time has come to set the fat woman free.

It’s only food, really, it’s only food!!!

Freedom!!!!

My first whoosh in…..at least a year

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

Okay that was unexpected! I have gotten on and off the scales this morning 4 times and all of them show a whoosh of 10 lbs! I haven’t done that in ages mostly because I haven’t done "that" except sporadically for a year. I don’t think I have been this thrilled at 630am in……well honestly I can’t ever remember being this thrill at 630 am! A sad life but I will take a happy whoosh just the same. I was so bummed yesterday because my weight had bounced up 2 lbs the day before for no apparent reason.

Hope the same for everyone today! This makes my goal I thought about this morning much more possible! As a matter of fact anything seems possible right now sitting here in the dark.

new goal is under 200 by the time I see my sister in late April. She saw me last in July at around 255 or so. Is that doable this far along in my weight loss?

I need some help.

Could anyone direct me to motivational or psychological resources online?

I have been on a binge for about 6 months now. I have had a few successful stabs at getting back on track, but I can’t seem to stick with it for more than a few days.

I was doing great with weightloss. I was almost at goal. Then things in my personal life got really… just a bit of tragedy and struggle, I guess. The last year has been very difficult. I have gained about 50 lbs. Things are starting to turn around, but I can’t seem to get my eating back under control.

Anyone know of some good inspirational resources… or anything that could help me stop the downward spiral?

I really appreciate it.

HATE EXERCISE? Here are a few ideas to get mooooving!!!

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

So if your like me, I really hate to do any exercise that is boring. I love to walk and I like to ride my stationary bike IF I watch TV. So I have a few Ideas for the ones that are like me that hate to exercise and need to get moving to get the scale moving. Also this post is for anyone who has any ideas that have helped them stay entertained. So if you have something that helps or helped you during the weight loss we would be glad to hear it. So, here are my ideas….It doesnt matter how long you do them, just that you are moving…and you will get stronger and do them longer.

The main thing I like to do is dance. I absolutely LOVE doing these dances. I get a great workout in my legs. My 14 y/o daughter and 4 y/o daughter do it with me…I love the way I feel afterwards. (When I first started these I could not get through the whole dance)

I dance to:
The cupid shuffle
electric slide
mississippi slide

Other Ideas: Walk the dogs, Jog in place or around the house, jumping jacks a few times a day, lay on stomach and kick legs up, leg lifts on side and back, Park far away from the store..always return the buggy to the buggy return, jump on a trampoline (large or small), jump rope (this is suppose to burn the most calories of any exercise….cant quite get going without a black eye yet..lol), walk around the house with weights on ankles, lift 2 lbs weights while cooking or watching tv, strength training, bike ride, stationary bike, treadmill..try to walk 1/4 mile and jog 1/4 mile untill you can walk 1/2 mile and jog/run 1/2 mile, wrestle with the kids, play batmittion, play with the kids/dog in the yard, play kickball with the kids, baseball or football.

I try to pick a few things diffrent everyday to keep moving and try to get the scale moving. So if you have any ideas to share…post post post

Cant wait to hear some new ideas!!!

Exercise dvd’s for ppl who have to lose 100 lbs

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

What is your favourite DVD to work out to?

I’ve seen the ones with the perfect skinny guys and gals bee-bopping around and think to myself, "This is definitely not for me" I feel like a huge fat beached whale and give up almost all of the time.

Is there a DVD suited for "Us"?
