old city Heidelberg (Baden-Württemberg, Germany)

The Heidelberger Palace became the symbol for the Romantic era. The Romantic era
can be considered as indicative of an age of crisis. The Romantics attacked the Enlightenment
because it blocked the free play of the emotions and creativity. A famous relic of Romanticism
is the Philosophers’ Walk.

Good Morning … I’m feeling somewhat philosophical this early February morning.

From one of the Romantics, William Hazlitt:

Those who make their dress a principal part of themselves, will, in general,
become of no more value than their dress.

Anyone who has passed though the regular gradations of a classical education,
and is not made a fool by it, may consider himself as having had a very narrow escape.

Even in the common affairs of life, in love, friendship, and marriage,
how little security have we when we trust our happiness in the hands of others!

Manti Utah Temple (Third ‘west of the Mississippi’ Mormon temple)

Perched atop a rising knoll, known as "Temple Hill," the magnificent Manti Utah Temple
dominates the Sanpete Valley of central Utah.

The Manti Utah Temple was built on a rattlesnake-infested site, known as the
Manti Stone Quarry. Once Brigham Young designated the site for a temple,
it became known as Temple Hill. The quarry’s stone, Manti oolite, is the same
cream-colored stone used for the temple exterior. It was completed in 1893.

Good Morning …..

Mornin’ Folks

I’m repeatedly amazed at the adaptability of the human body.
In October 50* felt chilly. This morning it’s 6*. I went out for about five minutes
with just a flannel shirt over my tee. Felt good … for five minutes anyway. lol.

Nothing special planned. Boring Holly Homemaker stuff. … Compensated by some
Scintillating Conversation.
