One slip up…how long before go back into ketosis?

Friday, March 20th, 2009

I have been soooo good for the past six days, new to Atkins and on induction. However…the copier guy brought me an Otis Spunkmeyer choc chip cookie because I keep sending them tons of documents to copy. I am a paralegal..anyways, he was standing in front of me and handed me the cookie bag and was telling me they got them just for me, and stood there asking me to tell him how good it was and the office service guy from our firm was there waiting too…geez the pressure! Sorry but I caved! Anyways, not beating myself up over it. I realize I have been very good all week and have seen results and do not consider myself totally off plan. The question is, how long before my body gets back on track after a few hours, days? I am going to use my ketosis sticks tonight to see where I am.

My Descent Into Onderland

Friday, March 20th, 2009

I was stuck all winter… November through March… between 201-205. I won’t call it a stall because I was just being sloppy. Flu, hurt kid (OK now), bought a new house, blah, blah, blah.

A couple weeks back I buckled back down, started using FitDay again and got my workouts back on track.

After several days I hop on the Wii (the only reliable weighing device in my house, the scale seems possessed)…… 201.5

The next day……. 200.8

The next day……. 200.4

The next day (I’m excited ’cause I’m really thinking its going to happen)…… 200.0

Aaaaarrrrgggghhhhhh

I’m telling myself I can’t complain. I don’t usually lose consistantly like that, no one but me knows anyway, any loss is a good loss, but jeez! I haven’t see that 1 in 16 years!

So I get up this morning, almost afraid to weigh…….

I talked my BOSS into LC!

Saturday, March 14th, 2009

I got a new job as a freelance photographer for a baby photography company, and was explaining to my boss and a few others at training on Tuesday that when we order lunch they can’t laugh at me for eating "weird" because I’m low carb now. Everyone was actually really interested in how everything works, and at my second training session today, my boss told me that I had inspired her to start a low carb lifestyle!

It’s so nice to inspire someone rather than hear all of the negative remarks from people that don’t know anything about it. I’m so proud!!

Feeling Fine in 2009! MARCHing into Spring!

Thursday, March 5th, 2009
I know Spring Break dates are different everywhere but here it is the end of this month.
I propose that we get serious now and step into spring lighter!
Part of the reason we struggle with weight is genetic, but part is behavioral.
Let’s change our behaviors to change our lives for the better!
Were worth it….we deserve it….we CAN & WILL achieve it!

T-Tappers Spring into action in March

Thursday, March 5th, 2009

Tapp is a series of copyrighted, sequential movements designed to put the body in proper functional alignment. Its special sequence of comprehensive, compound muscle movement helps establish better alignment as well as increased strength and flexibility of the spine, better neuro-kinetic flow, lymphatic function, and increased metabolic rate. Its physical therapy approach to fitness makes it safe for those with shoulder, hip, knee, neck, and back concerns. Yet, it delivers a challenging workout for all fitness levels!

T-Tapp’s preventative wellness workouts deliver results inside and out. Instead of just focusing on burning calories and fat to lose weight, T-Tapp concentrates on helping the body rebuild digestion, assimilation, elimination, in addition to improving lymphatic function and neuro-kinetic flow. Increased energy, mental clarity and overall health immediately improve as your body tightens and tones. Faster inch loss occurs because muscles develop like girdles so they can uplift and cinch in target areas of concern. That’s because T-Tapp develops long, lean muscle fibers with strength and flexibility for greater muscle density instead of muscle bulk. In fact, T-Tapp can redesign bulky muscles into lean, dense tissue! Best of all, this type of muscle development helps support the spine and joints in a rehabilitative way. Many injuries occur due to muscle imbalance, but with T-Tapp muscles are always built with strength and flexibility. It just happens that this type of muscle development also increases metabolic processing for higher burning of calories and fat even when not working out! Last of all, T-Tapp is a left-right brain, mind-body workout. Most have heard the phrase "if you don’t use it, you lose it" but with T-Tapp it’s never too late to rebuild fitness and health. Come discover "Yes You Can" with T-Tapp and FEEL the difference while you try some sample movements for free.

More Than A Workout!
T-Tapp…
Is done without weights, equipment, or jumping!
Is very rehabilitative, especially for the lower back and knees. The movements look so simple, but they provide a workout like no other.
Works all layers of the muscle at both attachments to develop muscle density instead of muscle bulk.
Is more than a mind/body workout! T-Tapp is a left/right brain, mind/body workout.
Is where less becomes MORE! Instead of working long and hard, discover how quality of movement can be more important than quantity!
