If so, how do you stay within plan. I posted on another board, but haven’t gotten any response. I don’t want to have a very structured plan right now. I’m basically just cutting out bread, flour, potatoes, bad carbs.
Please give me some suggestions as to if an unstructured plan works for you or doesn’t work for you and why?
I’ve read and read and now I’m more confused than ever.
That’s probably what my signature should say.
TIA!

There is a good article in there called "Guaranteed to Rip You Off". Telling about the numerous diet, exercise rip offs out there waiting for us to pounce upon them, thinking the fat will come off without suffering, lol.

My workouts are a combination of cardio and weight resistance and I do it after work at 4:30 p.m. Today I had a rather high fat lunch and it didn’t set very well after my workout. Do you recommend a lower fat meal prior to a workout?

Hello, do you think it would be ok if I had cereal for breakfast instead of eggs and bacon- Don’t get me wrong- I love bacon and eggs but I’m getting tired of it. I really want cereal- I was thinking of having a serve of Kellogs All Bran with a few blueberries in the morning. Thats the only carbs I’ll have other than my vegetables. I have tried to have other protein meals for breakfast, but I just can’t stomach it. Bacon and egggs aren’t always the easiest and quickest meal either-whereas cereal for me is.
I realise my wieght loss will be stalled-I’m ok with that.
Does anyone have carbs in the morning and then low carb throughout the day?

If you have been diagnosed with diabetes, I’d really appreciate it if you would answer the following questions:
1. Did you lose weight intentionally after your diabetes diagnosis?
2. How much did you lose? What percentage of your starting weight was this?
3. How did you lose it?
4. Did you keep the weight off 1 and 5 years after you lost it? If so, how?
5. Did the weight loss make a difference in your blood sugars in terms of changing how much carbohydrate you could eat without spikes?

Just curious — both my parents have adult-onset diabetes. I had gestational diabetes with one pregnancy. Those are all are markers for my own potential for getting adult-onset diabetes. LC works so well for me, and I feel so good on it (always wondering WHY I EVER STRAY . . .humans are so irrational sometimes, aren’t we?) that I wonder if it’s about the diabetic tendencies in my own body, and LC’s blood sugar control.
Just musing . . .
