Cycling QWL diet

Hi,

I have about 90 pounds to lose and I’m going to begin the QWL diet tomorrow (2/28). Many of you seem to have success cycling the diet with an Atkins type diet. I was thinking about cycling 10 days of the QWL with 2 days of regular low-cal eating (veggies, fruits, yogurt, and maybe a Lean Cuisine). Has anyone here tried that? I want the fastness of the QWL diet, and if I had 2 day break to look forward to I would fell much less anxious while on the diet. Since I have so much to lose, I think I’ll go crazy I don’t break it up! I just don’t want to undo all the weight loss of the 10 days in 2.

So…. if anyone’s tried this I would love to hear about it. Also, if anyone has any advice that would be awesome too.

I’m starting Stillman’s today…I have about 15 pounds to lose and they are being stubborn. So I’m hoping that this will get me off this stall that doesn’t seem to want to go away. I just hope I can achieve my goals by summer.

Guess I will get the March thread going.
So the 3 pound loss stuck plus an additional pound so I am down 4 pounds this week for a total of 28 pounds since 1/5/09.
How is everyone else doing?

Today I begin my 39 day Stillman diet adventure. This morning the scale said 178.5. Ugh. I have no idea how this happened. Anyway, my final goal weight is 130, but I know that isn’t going to happen this month. Actually it’s about 6 weeks. I hoping for an average of 5lbs a week, which is about 30lbs. That would put me at about 145. I really am not hoping for anything, I just know that by doing this diet I will be much slimmer on new years eve.

As for exercise, I am going to try and go to the gym daily. I hate working out so I am setting a realistic exercise plan. 15min of cardio followed by use of these freeweight machines: leg extention, calf, squat, and both hip abductors. Also, 25 situps at home and my 5lb arm weights.

The measurements that I am most concerned with are my waist, hips and calves. Last night my waist was 37", my hips 44", and my calves 16.5". I will check these again in a couple of weeks.
